The Urban Streamline

Architecture · Urban Design

An urban resiliency research center sited at the junction of a horizontal urban plaza and a continuous urban band — formally inspired by the streamlines of railway terminals and the congregation scale of Buenos Aires's Villa 31.

The Urban Streamline sits at the junction of a horizontal urban plaza and a continuous urban band cutting across, generating a turning point at the front of the site. The streamline pattern, drawn from the formal language of railway terminals and the congregation scale of Buenos Aires’s Villa 31, serves as the project’s organizing logic — generating supporting structure, exterior and interior divisions, circulation routes, and the integration of landscape.
